Service businesses in Latin America run on WhatsApp, but booking software is still built dashboard-first. Clients ask for prices, available times, staff, and changes in chat. Salon owners and receptionists answer manually, lose leads between messages, and leave empty slots on the calendar. The existing tools manage appointments after the client is already in the system; they do not operate where the conversation actually happens.
Venus AI gives each salon an AI agent on WhatsApp. The agent talks to clients, checks services and staff availability, books appointments, sends reminders, reactivates inactive clients, and escalates edge cases to a human. The salon still gets a dashboard and mobile apps, but the primary interface is the channel the client already uses.
What the pilot will measure
The pilot with real salons in Mexico is instrumented from day one. We will track appointments booked by the agent, conversations resolved without human takeover, time from booking intent to confirmation, reactivation of inactive clients, weekly salon retention, and operator satisfaction. No demo accounts, no internal traffic counted as traction. The numbers, and what they teach us, will be published here.
The system of record already exists. What is missing is the operator that lives where the client conversation happens.
Venus AI is the lab thesis applied to the most conversational vertical we know: a closed-loop agent with human escalation, explicit review, and auditable decisions, deployed inside a real operation instead of a demo environment. This journal will carry the build log as the pilot runs.
